The ARCHOS 101 features a patented construction process that uses an over-molded PVD stainless steel structure, enabling the tablet to be smaller, thinner and lighter–and thus even more portable. It measures just 0.47 inches thin and weighs just over 1 pound.
An integrated multi-position kick stand allows for hands-free use, enabling you to set the ARCHOS 101 in a stand-up position (approximately 60 degrees) to use the display as a PC monitor with an external keyboard or in a low position (approximately 30 degrees) for using the virtual keyboard.
With ultra-fast Wireless-N Wi-Fi networking, you’ll be able to connect to your home or business wireless network as well as hotspots while on the go. A built-in webcam means you can make video calls to family and friends. For the first time the program introduces the ability to extract and analyze user accounts, contacts and messages from Google Mail and Yahoo! Messenger applications, as well as the history of Google Maps, stored in Apple iPhone and iPad.
Oxygen Forensic Suite 2011 lets the forensic expert build a detailed ?portrait? of the smart phone user based on the large amount of extracted data, such as contacts, calls, messages, camera snapshots, GPRS and Wi-Fi data, etc. Using this information, it is possible to find out exactly where the phone user was when he made a call and sent or received a message, see contacts who actively communicate with the suspect, review user’s actions in chronological order, and reconstruct the approximate route of the phone user on Google Maps. Currently there are over 2,000 supported models of devices using Android, Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Apple iOS, including version 4.3.3.
The new version provides the ability to extract and analyze more information from iPhone and iPad, which is especially important in connection with the growing popularity of these devices in the world. I’ve had my Archos A32 Internet Tablet since December 21st, and it worked beautifully until today. Either my computer does not recognize that the Archos is trying to connect, or there is something wrong with the Archos itself. I’d really rather not do a complete reset, so if you have any suggestions, please share. My computer’s OS is Linux Ubuntu 10.4 I believe.

On Linux, open a terminal window and enter the command “dmesg.” This is a log of events that happen in the kernel, including device detection and loading. After reading the last few lines, plug the device in and run the command again after a few seconds. This may give you some useful information as to the problem.
